MAI commenced direct flights between Yangon and Vientiane, Laos on June 25, 2024 (Tuesday), in line with its strategic plan to promote Myanmar as a key destination.

The launching ceremony of the new route took place at Yangon International Airport. MAI warmly welcomed passengers with flower garlands upon arrival.

• Tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be altered in terms of the itinerary.
• Name changes are not permitted once the ticket is issued.
• Change fees applied
• No-show fee applied before 24 hours departure time.
• Correction of typos, and spelling errors (less than 2 characters): $30.
• Not valid after July 31, 2024.
• Not applicable during holidays and festive seasons.
• Child (CHD) fare is equivalent to Adult (ADT) fare. Infant (INF) fare is 30% of the Adult fare.
• Fares do not include taxes and fees.

Dear Passenger,

We would like to inform the latest update regarding health document requirements for entry into Myanmar, effective from March 1, 2024

1. Travelers shall be subject to a thermal screening to be conducted by the respective airport, seaport and cross border POEs health authorities, upon arrival to Myanmar.
2. The foreigners shall bear the cost of the testing, isolation and medical treatment procedures for medical conditions including COVID-19 during their stay in Myanmar and can purchase the health  insurance from Myanma insurance. Detailed information can be obtained at the Myanma Insurance’s website (https://www.mminsurance.gov.mm)).
3. Travelers shall report to the respective health authorities, if they have developed signs and symptoms of COVID-19 during their stay in Myanmar.
4. The travelers shall strictly follow the instructions made by the respective health authorities. A legal action will be taken against the traveler concerned, if there is a breach of health regulations.
5. These public health requirements are subject to changes.
6. These public health requirements shall take effect from 1-3-2024/ 00:01 Hour Myanmar Standard Time, and supersede the Public Health Requirements for Travelers Who Wish to Enter into Myanmar through International Airports, Sea Ports and Cross Border POEs (1-9-2023).

Dear passengers,

Effective from 30 Aug 2023 to 29 Aug 2024, normal passport holders of Chinese Nationality (PRC passport holders only) and Indian Nationality are allowed to enter Myanmar by air with the Visa On Arrival (Tourist Visa) facility at Yangon International Airport (RGN), Mandalay International Airport (MDL) & Naypyitaw International Airport (NYT).

Passengers (PRC passport holders and India passport holders) who are entering Myanmar with a Visa On Arrival (Tourist Visa) are required to follow the steps below.

• Passengers are required to follow rules and regulations applied by The Republic of The Union of Myanmar.
• There are restricted areas where non-Myanmar nationalities are not allowed to enter and must follow the restrictions. Non-restricted areas are free to visit.
• Passengers who are entering Myanmar by Visa On Arrival facility can be rejected for entry by Immigration authorities on arrival, in case of rejected by authorities.
• Passengers who are entering Myanmar by Visa On Arrival facility from international airports (RGN, MDL, NYT) can exit from any international entry or exit point.
